In the early 1950’s, my Grandma Mary worked at Carson’s in Chicago, which I’ve never heard of but has a very cool-looking building (that is apparently now a Target).

While working there, she apparently impressed a visitor from Miami enough that they wrote in and she was featured in the “Cornerette” in the Courtesy Counts section (below on page 2). It was definitely a different time, but this does have a real “let’s have a staff pizza party” feel to it.
